For the woman who chose herself
For the woman who prefers meaning over noise.
For the woman who doesn’t follow paths, she creates them.
For the woman who doesn’t need to prove her worth, she knows it.
For the woman who trusts her own timing.
For the woman who protects her peace and chooses where her energy goes.
For the woman who has learned that choosing carefully is a form of confidence.
Obsidian is for her.

The past few years have shaped me in ways I didn’t expect. Not because things went wrong, but because growth asked more of me than I knew I was capable of giving.
I’ve always been curious. I’ve always loved my independence. Traveling throughout my 20s, spending time alone, immersing myself in different cultures, I was always searching for perspective without realizing it. I just knew I wanted a life that felt meaningful.
Jitana was never just about creating home decor so a space could look beautiful. It was about creating objects that feel like art, pieces that carry story, perspective, and experience. Pieces that feel collected, not just purchased.
When I started Jitana, I didn’t have a perfectly mapped strategy. I simply wanted to share the beauty I was experiencing, the people I met, the materials I discovered, and the stories behind the pieces. During the pandemic, something unexpected happened. The community grew quickly. Collections sold out in minutes. The business expanded faster than I could have imagined.
And with growth came complexity.
What I didn’t fully understand five years ago was how much building a company would require me to grow as a person. I poured myself into the people, the partnerships, and the responsibility of building something meaningful. I cared deeply, and even sometimes at the expense of my own clarity.
There were moments when I questioned everything. Moments where I wondered if I had lost direction. Moments where the foundation I was building required more from me than I felt ready to give.
But my passion never left.

Even when things felt uncertain, I knew there was something real here. I just needed to find my way back to it, and back to myself.
Over time, I became more honest about what I needed. I became more precise with where my energy goes. I became more comfortable trusting my own timing.
There was a period when I stepped back creatively, not because inspiration left, but because the business's foundation required my full attention. Strengthening what I was building required patience. It required sitting in uncertainty without rushing to define what came next.
And in that quiet, this collection began to take shape.

Named after the volcanic glass formed under pressure, emerging dark, smooth, and reflective. A material created through intensity, yet known for its clarity and strength.
For the first time, I explored high gloss finishes in a way I never had before. The surfaces feel deeper. Stronger. More confident. They reflect light differently. They hold presence differently.
Each piece carries its own personality. Not based on trend, but on perspective.
Because this collection is not about becoming someone new.
It is about returning to who you have always been with more clarity, more confidence, and more trust in your own direction.
Somewhere along the way, I relearned that I don’t need to follow paths. I can create them.
I don’t need to prove my worth. I know it.
I trust my own timing.
I protect my peace.
I choose carefully.
I value depth over approval.
I created this collection for myself, but I know I am not alone in this feeling.
If you see yourself in these pieces, then you understand what Obsidian represents.
Not perfection.
Alignment.

And in many ways, this is only the beginning.
